Save Our Sons Walk for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy 2020

It’s that time of year again where our Michael Malak puts on his running shoes and hits the pavement for the 6th year, raising awareness and much needed funds to support Save Our Sons. Save Our Sons was started by Elie Eid, who’s son was born with the condition known as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) 15 years ago. It’s a muscle wasting condition occurring in 98% of boys and most do not live past their 20’s. Last year the Save Our Sons family lost one of its brightest and most amazing sons, Alex Scollard at the age of 23 not long after its March walk in Sydney.

This is all the more reason why we do these walks every year and every dollar goes into helping the family’s that need assistance and for trials and research both in Australia and internationally. We don’t want to carry the burden of more of our sons being lost so please dig deep and click on the link below to show your support, as we take to the streets in Melbourne walking 186km, from school to school where we have boys with DMD, raising their spirits to support them, their families and their school as part of the awareness journey.

The walk starts on Friday 28th February and finishes on Saturday 7th March. You can find out more about Save Our Sons by clicking on this link https://www.saveoursons.org.au/
